All songs composed by Joe Gordon. Joe Gordon played with Art Blakey's Jazz Messenger amongst many others, he had talent and a promising career, but sadly died at age 35 in a house fire shortly after recording this album, his second. Recorded at Contemporary Records in Los Angeles July 11, 12 & 18, 1961
