Notes

Released in the transition from the Notes and Microphone (old) label to the six-eye walking camera labels.

The transition began roughly June 1955 and old labels are found on different releases up to September 1955.

This release is one BSN pubs notes as, "Original label was the old Columbia label with the "musical notes and microphone" logo."

Previously released as under Columbia Masterworks, Lunceford Special in 1953; as a 12" LP with these matrices.

Repressed here with the new catalog number and these red and gold, notes and microphone labels,

This is a pressing variant to Lunceford Special.

The labels are identical and likely printed at Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Bridgeport.

Pressed by Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Hollywood identified by the stamped H in the deadwax.

The Bridgeport factory did not have a visible pressing identifier until 1957.
