Description

「Monty's Guitars (Monty's)」is a high-end pickup brand originating from London, UK. Founder「Matt Gleeson (Matt Gleeson)」thoroughly analyzed vintage pickups and reconstructed the tone for modern players, delivering the highest performance across all genres. In addition to meticulous hand-winding of each unit, the lineup includes wiring kits using premium parts and natural fretboard care wax.

MION, captivated by the high technical skill of Monty's, which is known to excel in the rewind/restoration of vintage pickups—a skill rare in the world—will serve as the first domestic store to accept orders and officially sell Monty's Guitars pickups, further promoting and selling Monty's products.

The「Original Bethnal Green PAF Humbucker」set is a recreation of the pickups mounted on the legendary「Greeny (Greeny)」Les Paul, which was used by Gary Moore and is currently owned by Kirk Hammett. It is a complete recreation based on data taken when it was brought to Monty's for maintenance, and is produced in limited quantities only when materials become available—a special limited edition model.

While it possesses all the touch, clarity, sweetness, and power expected of a PAF, it is completely unique in design. The bridge pickup has higher output than a standard PAF, with pronounced midrange character and sharp resonance.

The true appeal lies in the famous「out-of-phase」mix sound. This position expands the unique possibilities of this set, producing deep tones.

Also, like the original PAF, it is not wax-potted, resulting in extremely sensitive and dynamic response. The coils are wound with slight resistance variations, resulting in significantly improved high-frequency response.

There is a subtle technique to take advantage of the out-of-phase position. To achieve this tone, both volume knobs must be set to 10, and as one volume is lowered, the phase gradually returns to normal sound.

With this operation, diverse tones can be drawn from one set of pickups. Truly a labor of love.
