TACOMA Road King DM8C

$1,052.00

Description

Founded in 1991 in Tacoma, Washington, USA, "TACOMA" Guitars is characterized by its parlor-type silhouette and was once hugely popular, though it now appears only in the used market as a rare brand.

The model we have in stock is the dreadnought-type electric-acoustic guitar "Road King DM8C". It was purchased new around 2001.

This guitar features a rosewood pinless bridge, which is uncommon for standard acoustic guitars. The top is made of solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides use solid mahogany. The neck is also mahogany and is joined to the body at the 15-fret position rather than the typical 14-fret position. Combined with the cutaway structure, you can play freely from one end of the fingerboard to the other.

With a 648mm scale, 22 frets, dreadnought-shaped body with cutaway, and proprietary bracing, it features a bolt-on construction that makes it easy to play for those accustomed to electric guitars.

This is a rare electric-acoustic guitar featuring an unusually shaped sound hole that produces a very large and bright acoustic tone, combined with the warm resonance characteristic of mahogany.
