Paul Reed Smith(PRS) CE24 Mahogany Black 2005
Description
Paul Reed Smith(PRS) CE24 Mahogany Black 2005
Paul Reed Smith's "CE" is a popular series that takes the initials of "Classic Electric" and features a maple neck and bolt-on joint.
The model that has arrived this time is a 2005 manufacture, 24-fret specification "CE24 Mahogany". The neck shape is Pattern Thin (Wide Thin), the color is Black, and the weight is 4.04kg.
A beautiful curved all-mahogany body with a classic shape. Features a Rock Maple neck and East Indian Rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with bird inlays that were adopted until around 2008, rock pegs, nickel hardware, presenting a solid PRS-like composition and appearance.
Equipped with open "HFS Treble / Vintage Bass" pickups, allowing for more precise expression of picking nuances, delivering the classic PRS sound from clean to crunch and hard drive. The classical control layout with volume/tone and rotary pickup selector is a design that appeals to longtime fans.
The saddle has been changed to a GRAPHTECH model, achieving reduced string breakage and improved tuning stability. It also provides the depth and clarity of tone like a vintage saddle and rich sustain. (The original saddle is not included.)
With the sweet and lustrous front tone unique to mahogany and its distinctive feel, this is a guitar with a pleasant drive, and the crisp attack inherent to a maple neck is satisfying. Compared to Gibson, this one is lighter, and playability on stage is considerably superior compared to a Les Paul. Particularly high playability in the higher positions, and the simple dot inlay adoption and hard-edged appearance that can suit any genre is convenient. There are a certain number of people who say that PRS guitars with rotary selectors sound better for some reason, and I certainly feel the same way. Blade or toggle switches are certainly more convenient, but despite this inconvenience, I want to choose this one for sound quality. It has the same quality as the Custom 24, with a sound that mahogany really brings, and the craftsmanship is excellent, so this is genuinely a great guitar.
Personally, I think bolt-on PRS sounds the best. While it has more visual pizzazz than the Custom 24, this one is definitely a sound victory!!
