Jackson Stars RR-J2B 2007 (Randy Rhoads Flying V)
Description
Jackson Stars RR-J2B 2007 (Randy Rhoads Flying V)
Jackson (ジャクソン) is a guitar brand that has led the era since the genesis of hard rock and heavy metal. "Jackson Stars," aimed at the domestic Japanese market, is a product that directly inherits the brand's lineage and is popular internationally as well.
The Randy Rhoads V that came in this time appears to be an "RR-J2B." Based on the serial number "072486," it is believed to be from 2007. The color is black, and the weight is 3.08kg.
This guitar was developed for the late Randy Rhoads and is also the first model manufactured by Jackson. Production began in the early 1980s, and it rapidly gained support in the hard rock world, becoming the instrument of choice for many notable guitarists such as Kirk Hammett and Marty Friedman. Even decades after its debut, its distinctive aggressive body shape exudes an unmistakable presence at first glance, and it possesses high playability that accommodates fast picking, true to its visual impression.
This instrument features a through-neck construction of maple wood combined with alder body wings, adopting a string-through-body specification. A 24-fret ebony fingerboard equipped with jumbo frets is also one of its characteristics. The fast attack of natural tone, rich resonance, and sustain—qualities that are difficult to obtain in Floyd Rose-equipped models—are its appeal.
The pickups feature USA-made Seymour Duncan SH-1N / TB-5 humbuckers. A combination of a front designed with the original PAF in mind and a rear suited for intense lead playing.
The maple neck features a medium C-shape with appropriate shoulder tension. The ebony fingerboard with binding adopts a 15-inch fingerboard radius. It is equipped with a sharkfin inlay and genuine jumbo frets.
Finished with a characteristically pointed black head and all-black hardware, it comes with a soft leather case bearing the Jackson logo—a cost-effective guitar ready to start metal or hard rock anytime!
