Guild, an American guitar manufacturer alongside Martin and Gibson, is considered one of the three major acoustic guitar brands.
The "Polara Deluxe (Canyon Dusk)" has arrived from the "POLARA" series, which features models that are modern updates of the "Guild S-100," a solid-body guitar that epitomized Guild in the 1970s. The weight is 2.97kg, and it was purchased new in December 2025.
This "Polara Deluxe" is a highly versatile guitar that combines vintage atmosphere with modern functionality and playability, featuring a sophisticated metallic finish and high-output "HB-2+" humbuckers equipped with coil split switches.
A double-cutaway offset mahogany body is paired with a mahogany neck featuring a slim, perfectly balanced vintage soft U-shape, joined with a set neck joint. It is equipped with an Indian Rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and binding—a classic combination.
It features "Premium Guild Vintage 18" tuning machines with an 18:1 gear ratio, an original TOM bridge, and a compensated tailpiece. The attention to detail extends beyond hardware to the exterior, including the pearloid "Guild Peak" logo, Chesterfield binding, and block inlays. The controls consist of 2 volumes and 2 tones equipped with coil tap, featuring a simple and user-friendly design.
Often called Guild's version of the SG, this model is known for its lightweight and ease of handling.
