Established in 1987 as the section at Fender dedicated to crafting the finest instruments, the "Fender Custom Shop" brand represents the pinnacle that Fender enthusiasts aspire to own. Carefully handcrafted by master builders and experienced craftsmen with exceptional skills, it stands as the premium line of Fender guitars.

We have just received the "Custom Deluxe Stratocaster," a model that combines the best qualities of classic vintage Fender with modern designs. This is a 2011 model in Sapphire Blue Transparent, weighing 3.67kg.

During this period, the Custom Shop versions of the regular line mainstays "American Standard" and "American Deluxe" were positioned as "Custom Classic" and "Custom Deluxe" respectively. If we were to compare to current models, this would be the Custom Shop version of the "American Ultra."

Against this backdrop, this model's greatest feature is its modern specifications that embody contemporary needs and exceptional playability. It features a lightweight ash body with subtle grain, and the neck showcases a magnificent birds-eye maple with dense patterns throughout. The fingerboard is rosewood with dot inlays that extend luxuriously to the sides.

The neck shape is the versatile C-type. With a 9.5R radius, 22F configuration, medium jumbo frets, 2-point support tremolo, and heel cutout for modern playability. The tuners are lock-type as well, providing exceptional tuning stability.

It features three single-coil pickups that appear to be original. The sound is crisp and punchy with excellent clarity and articulation throughout. You can fully enjoy the exquisite, versatile Strat tone and its luxurious appearance.

Controls feature a simple 1VOL/2TONE configuration with a 5-way selector—the classic Fender formula that is intuitive and user-friendly, reliably meeting players' demands.

This blue is surprisingly rare, and the luxurious aesthetics that match it are wonderful, but when you actually play it, the tone is clean and solid! For those who prefer versatile, modern-style Strats, this is absolutely the model we most recommend. The tonal difference between Custom Shop and regular line models is clearly evident. You could even boldly modify the rear to a humbucker for an all-purpose SSHguitar—it would look great aesthetically.

The slightly grainy high-end feels wonderful, and you'll be comfortable playing it for extended periods. It appears to be built for stage use, as even the strap pins are lock-type from the start. This guitar's unique tone and appearance—a flawless Custom Deluxe!
