Fender Custom Shop 61 Stratocaster Relic Seafoam Green 2007
Description
Fender Custom Shop 61 Stratocaster Relic Seafoam Green 2007
The "Fender Custom Shop" brand was established in 1987 as the premier section for crafting the finest instruments at Fender. Meticulously handcrafted by master builders and experienced craftsmen with exceptional skills, it is the top line that Fender enthusiasts aspire to own.
We have received the "61 Stratocaster Relic," a model reproducing a 1961 Stratocaster. Manufactured in 2007, the color is Seafoam Green, and the weight is 3.58kg.
This is a stunning instrument with boldly worn relic characteristics. A notable point is that the neck is barely reliced!
It features an alder body typical of that era, a solid quarter-sawn maple neck, and a dark brown glossy rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard is, of course, a slab board.
The neck shape is a slim C-shape, 60s Oval C type. The fingerboard radius is approximately 9.5R. The vintage-type frets appear to have been refretted and replaced with medium jumbo-style frets.
Since there are no markings on the back, the pickup model is unknown, but it is presumed to be a "FAT 60s" type pickup. The controls feature a 5-way selector, master volume, front tone, and center tone, with the rear in the standard configuration where tone does not function.
The sound quality is characterized by the rich, sustaining overtones befitting a top-line instrument, quick attack, and slightly higher output, matching any genre. The tone has a strong core. Overall, it has a clear, vibrant, glossy texture, delivering an excellent guitar sound both in clean amplified tones and with drive. The acoustic tone is excellent as well.
This is quintessential Fender with its classic tonal character and playability. With the relic and color working in its favor, it's a Custom Shop that reliably meets any player's demands.
