The "American Vintage" series is Fender's top-of-the-line regular model. This series is dedicated to recreating popular vintage guitar specifications, and it remains popular with many players today.

This is the "American Vintage Stratocaster," which faithfully recreates the '62 specification down to every detail. It was manufactured in 2009. The color is Lake Placid Blue with a special thin lacquer (TL) finish specification. The weight is 3.42kg.

The combination of an alder body, a comfortable C-grip maple neck, and a slab-board rosewood fingerboard is just like an actual '62 vintage instrument. It has been carefully crafted to closely resemble the real thing. The smooth and versatile feel, along with attention to detail such as vintage-type tuning pegs and bridge, are among the reasons this series is so popular.

The pickup selector is 3-way rather than 5-way, and it comes with a switch to convert it to 5-way, which is another distinctive feature. The versatility unique to the Stratocaster, combined with the smooth response and grip of the rosewood fingerboard, deliver a characteristically aged vintage sound that truly meets what players are looking for. This is one of the most popular models in the highly-regarded American Vintage series.

If you actually play it, you will notice a clear difference from the latest "American Vintage II" series. There is a significant dent on the neck, so there is slight contact with the indentation while playing, but this is recommended for those who don't mind such minor details. The color, specifications, and sound are all top-notch.
