Description

Hailing from Austin, Texas, Collings is the world's premier guitar brand. Inheriting the philosophy of founder Bill, each guitar is meticulously crafted using carefully selected tonewoods and exceptional craftsmanship, combining the precision of fine art with beautiful, resonant sound.

This time we have received the "D-1," a popular model that stands alongside the "D-2H," which represents the Collings acoustic lineup. Though manufactured in 2014, it was purchased new in January 2020.

While the "D-1" is a basic model, it has very limited distribution and is quite rare in the used market. The top features Sitka Spruce, the sides and back use Honduras Mahogany, and the neck is also crafted from Honduras Mahogany. The binding is also tortoiseshell, reflecting meticulous attention to detail, with all materials being premium selections.

While utilizing orthodox wood materials, the high-end tonal character possesses a texture distinctly different from Martin, and combined with the vintage aesthetic beauty resulting from precise construction, it stands at the pinnacle of modern acoustics. The string action is low, the neck is comfortable to grip, and it plays with ease. This is an instrument that fully embodies Collings' concept of "modern guitars that surpass vintage," allowing you to fully experience the charm of their highest-tier sound.
