This version comes in an unlaminated gatefold cover and has the pink rim palm tree Island label design used from late 1970 to 1975. The design here whatsoever is the first of three pink rim label variants and was used from the end of 1970 to approximately the end of 1971 with "Side 1/Side 2". In 1972 "℗ 19XX Island Records Ltd." was added. In June 1972 "Side 1/Side 2" disappeard and only "A" or "B" was added to the cat.# (matrix# on labels).

First cat.# on cover, 2nd on labels.

The album title "Mr. Fantasy" reads "Mr Fantasy" on spine.
