1976 "Country Flag" obi / EAS re-issue series of the Beatles Japanese LP catalog. Title n° 28 with Japanese flag obi. Re-issue of the Japanese-only release "Beatles No. 5", using similar front art to the US jacket for "Beatles '65" but different title and track line-up. Originally released May 1965. -Earlier pressings came with black inner sleeve, later pressings clear rice-paper sleeve. -Includes bio & lyric sheet insert. -Obi states ‎¥2,300 -Some copies imported to North America may have come with an "imported Japan" Capitol-EMI sticker (see photo) -Lighter green Apple label. Apple logo on the front cover in place of Odeon. All true mono mixes. Durations are taken from the insert.

1976 "Country Flag" obi / EAS re-issue series of the Beatles Japanese LP catalog. Title n° 28 with Japanese flag obi. Re-issue of the Japanese-only release "Beatles No. 5", using similar front art to the US jacket for "Beatles '65" but different title and track line-up. Originally released May 1965. -Earlier pressings came with black inner sleeve, later pressings clear rice-paper sleeve. -Includes bio & lyric sheet insert. -Obi states ‎¥2,300 -Some copies imported to North America may have come with an "imported Japan" Capitol-EMI sticker (see photo) -White label with black writing. Apple logo on the front cover in place of Odeon. All true mono mixes.

BY TOSHIBA MUSICAL INDUSTRIES LTD. JAPAN" on label), BUT already with the Cover of the third reissue that states "MADE IN JAPAN ¥2,000" written in white letters on Coverbackside - (not in red letters with ¥1,700 Pricecode as the cover of first reissue). Rear sleeve states Toshiba EMI Ltd (in Japanese) indicating this is a transitional copy likely from 1973 with newly printed covers.
