Issued in a gatefold cover with obi and 4-page gatefold b&w insert featuring Japanese liner notes, image & bio of each member, and English lyrics. There are 2 identical versions of this release with only difference being that one has a MUCH heavier/stouter gatefold cover that weighs 8.8 oz with the other being much lighter and flimsier and weighing 5.3 oz. Running times are taken from the Japanese insert and differ slightly from those shown on virtually every other vinyl issue worldwide.

Ⓟ 1972-75 (Side 1) Ⓟ 1978-82 (Side 2) Japanese DJ only promo sampler with white Polydor labels. "見本盤" (sample record) and "非売品" (not for sale) in Japanese, and "DJ COPY/NOT FOR SALE" in English appear on both labels. The label title translates as "Promotion Special Sample". The jacket's back cover has song titles in English and Japanese, plus a "mini bio" and track-by-track information in Japanese. "DJ COPY / NOT FOR SALE" appears in English bottom left. A two-sided black and white insert is also included. The same "mini bio" reappears along with longer biographies of the three featured members (Bryan Ferry, Phillip Geoffrey Targett-Adams Manzanera [sic], and Andrew Mackay). No individual author credit is given, but the source is Fool's Mate magazine. ("資料提供 : フールズ•メイト" = "Material Provided by Fool's Mate"). On the reverse are illustrated album discographies for Roxy Music and Bryan Ferry's solo albums with then-current issue catalogue numbers. Some copies came with a companion sixteen-page illustrated promotional booklet featuring identical member biographies; an additional feature on Bryan Ferry ("ラブ・ソングに寄せる男心" = "A Man's Love for a Love Song") by founder of Rockin' On magazine, Yoichi Shibuya; a "History of Roxy Music" timeline, annoted discographies of Roxy Music (eleven albums), Bryan Ferry (five), and Phil Manzanera (two); a "Roxy Music Single Collection" (six titles from Over You to Avalon); and an "Avalon Tour" report by founder of Fool's Mate magazine, Masato Kitamura, with photography by Y. Saito. NB: Track B2 is the single version. B3 is the Bryan Ferry studio version.
