Notes
According to this album's front cover and liner notes, the two bands accompanying Peggy are conducted by her late husband, David Barbour (a gifted guitarist) and Billy May (the Pittsburgh trumpet player). However, according to the Peggy Lee Discography at http://www.peggyleediscography.com/p/worldtran.php, those personnel credits are largely incorrect: of the 12 tracks, just one features Barbour, while May might be present in only five. The album's other six numbers are presented in the discography as featuring Lee's own combo of six musicians, none of them being Barbour or May. Still further, the discography states that the album's 1948 release date is incorrect, too. Except for the Barbour track (1946), the recording dates for all the numbers fall, according to that source, between 1955 and 1956. Additional credits: cover photo from the Dexter archives. Runout info is etched except KM is stamped.
