4 LP set packaged in a hinged box. Includes a 16-page, saddle-stitched, 12" x 12" booklet featuring a glossy cover, photos of the recording sessions and illustrations. The booklet also reprints a 1959 article on the Quartet from The New Yorker. Original pressings will be on the Gray and Black "6-Eye" label. Later pressings will be on the Columbia Gray 360 Sound 2 -Eye Label and much later pressings on the Masterworks label, which is bronze with orange type around the perimeter. Label design introduced in June 1970
