Linda Di Franco

Linda Di Franco is an Italian singer and music video director who emerged in the 1980s Turin club scene. After working as a DJ at Big Club and Radio Flash, she recorded the demo "Stage" with producer Don Was, leading to contracts with Virgin Records and WEA.

Her debut single "T.V. Scene," recorded in Detroit with Don Was, became a European dance hit and showcased her directorial talents through its music video. The 1986 album "The Rise Of The Heart," recorded across London, Detroit, and New York, established her as a key figure in the emerging club culture and Balearic sound movements of the era. She recorded additional tracks in Los Angeles with producer Chico Bennett, including "Skin" and "Human Bondage."

In the late 1980s, Di Franco transitioned to Los Angeles to pursue film and television work. Over two decades, she built a distinguished career in post-production as a picture and sound editor on major studio films including Star Trek: First Contact (1996), A Knight's Tale (2001), Wedding Crashers (2005), and Bruce Almighty (2003). She has also directed award-winning short films and her feature directorial debut Interference premiered in 2018.

Recently, Di Franco has returned to her radio roots, working as a founder and producer while continuing her work in film and television production, writing, and direction.
