「Monty's Guitars」is a high-end pickup brand from London, UK. Founder「Matt Gleeson」thoroughly analyzed vintage pickups and reconstructed the tone for modern players—a sound that brings out the best performance regardless of genre. Of course, each pickup is meticulously hand-wound, and the brand also offers wiring kits featuring premium parts and natural fingerboard care wax.
Fascinated by the high technical capabilities of vintage pickup rewinding/restoration—a skill that only very few in the world possess—MION has become the first authorized domestic retailer to order and officially sell Monty's Guitars pickups, and we are committed to further promoting and selling Monty's products.
The「Full Monty Telecaster」set is a single-coil version of the brand's flagship humbucker. While maintaining the clarity of classic Telecaster sound, it is designed as a "high-output vintage-taste" model that pushes the amp more powerfully.
Characterized by responsive, well-defined sound. At full volume, you get powerful sustain and grit; with the volume rolled down, you achieve brilliant clean tones.
The neck pickup has sufficient body while maintaining the clarity in the high frequencies typical of high-output models. It is designed to evoke slightly the sound of a Strat neck pickup, with excellent high-frequency response and very flexible sound character.
The bridge pickup is powerful, with thickness close to a P90, while retaining a proper Tele attack. It maintains clarity and definition of tone without harsh highs. The midrange and bass are tight and rich, maintaining definition no matter how much gain is applied.
Like other Monty's pickups, only partial wax potting is applied. By intentionally leaving the center of the coil free from wax, clarity and responsiveness are enhanced. The neck pickup features RWRP specification (reverse-wound, reverse-polarity), enabling hum-canceling in the middle position. Additionally, the neck pickup cover is independently grounded, allowing for easy installation of 4-way or 5-way wiring (such as Monty's 5-way).
