Monty's Guitars Full Monty P90 Soapbar Black Pickups Set

$279.00

Description

「Monty's Guitars」is a high-end pickup brand originating from London, UK. Founder「Matt Gleeson」thoroughly analyzed vintage pickups and reconstructed their tone for modern players, delivering the highest performance across all genres. Not only are they meticulously hand-wound one by one, but the lineup also includes wiring kits using premium parts and natural fretboard care wax.

MION, captivated by the technical excellence evident in their rewinds and restoration of vintage pickups—a skill set found in only a handful of places worldwide—is committed to further promoting and selling Monty's Guitars products as Japan's first authorized retailer offering orders and official sales of Monty's Guitars pickups.

「Full Monty」is the first pickup ever made by Monty's Guitars, a flagship model that significantly upgraded a classic humbucker. Due to its practical field specifications and excellent articulation, it is the model we most recommend at our store.

「Full Monty P90 Pickups Set」is the「P90」version of that model, where Monty's has modified what is considered a classic tone to be more powerful. Compared to vintage「P90」pickups, it enhances output and mid-range presence. It realizes the sound that Monty's believes「an ideal P90 should be.」

It possesses the flexibility to handle everything from rough overdrive to glass-clear clean tones, and responds extremely sensitively to volume knob and picking nuances.

The lows are tight and punchy, the mids resonate pleasantly, and the highs have a cutting edge that cuts through cleanly.

This pickup, made with scatter winding using 42 gauge plain enamel wire, will undoubtedly deliver deep satisfaction when driven hard through a tube amp. Unusually for Monty's, this model comes with wax potting already applied, so you can use it with high gain without worrying about unnecessary feedback and howling.

If you're looking for a practical, field-ready「P90」pickup, please select this model.
