「Monty's Guitars」 is a high-end pickup brand originating from London, UK. Founder 「Matt Gleeson」 thoroughly analyzed vintage pickups and reconstructed their tone for modern players, delivering exceptional performance across all genres. Each pickup is carefully hand-wound, and the lineup also includes wiring kits made with premium parts and natural fingerboard care wax.

The 「Retro Wind Humbucker」（formerly known as "Humdinger"）set is a humbucker that combines vintage tone with modern elements. Slightly higher output than pure vintage humbuckers, it features tight bass, a slightly biting midrange, and rich, dynamic treble.
This pickup features wax potting, resulting in more defined articulation and a direct sound compared to most vintage humbuckers, with slightly reduced harmonic content. This allows the sound to cut through clearly in a band ensemble setting. While well-designed unpotted pickups can handle high gain, the 「Retro Wind」's wax potting ensures stable operation even in the harshest conditions.
It comes standard with a 4-conductor cable, compatible with virtually all wiring configurations.
