Description

「Eric Daw Custom Guitars」 is a high-end guitar pickup brand meticulously handcrafted one by one in Idaho Falls, America. We were amazed to discover that new products possess the same depth and feel that should only be found in vintage guitars from the 1950s and pickups created by the legendary craftsman "Abigail Ibarra," who worked at the Fender Custom Shop. This prompted MION to begin handling Eric Daw products. Without applying modern flavoring, we have assembled a diverse lineup of pickups to allow you to experience the authentic aroma of old America directly through your amplifier.

As the first domestic store to accept custom orders and serve as an authorized retailer of Eric Daw pickups, we are committed to further promoting and selling Eric Daw products.

This is a "P90" Style Soap bar custom order placed with our shop—a soap bar type with black cover specification. It comes as a set of two single-coil pickups. This item was completed on February 27, 2025.

Eric Daw pickups are meticulously crafted using the finest handpicked materials and maintained to the highest possible standards. These are not produced by trained workers or machines. Instead, they are entirely hand-wound using a direct-drive winding machine that was custom-built after researching the winding machines used during the dawn of electric guitar in the 1950s.

As the wire is guided and wound by hand, a "scatter wind (random wind)" coil pattern emerges that cannot be replicated by machines. This is the secret behind the highly valued sound of vintage pickups even today.

The finest American-made Alnico magnets and enamel-coated magnet wire are all selected from the best available locally. The Alnico pole pieces (magnetic poles) are manually magnetized using a custom-built magnetic charging device.

Without compromising for cost reduction, the goal is to create completely handmade boutique pickups aimed at achieving world-class sound quality.

This model recreates a vintage "P90" soap bar pickup and realizes the sound while preserving the vintage texture. The front pickup features RWRP specification, which also provides ease of use with reduced noise.

Please take this opportunity to try Eric Daw's vintage-modern approach as proposed by our shop.
