The "214ce Walnut" is a popular standard model that features the GA shape, the most popular among Taylor's mid-class 200 Series.
It features a Spruce top and Walnut sides and back. Compared to the "114ce" which uses Sapele, this model has a reputation for crisp articulation and clear separation.
The pickup system is equipped with the "ES2 Expression System II," the same as Taylor's higher-class models. With a piezo structure that contacts the side of the saddle rather than underneath it, it outputs a clear sound without compression. The vibrations of the entire body can be fully expressed on stage.
The innovative bolt-on neck structure for an acoustic guitar realizes high precision and excellent maintainability. The neck shape, which greatly influences "playability," is manufactured with stable quality through computer control.
The adoption of Taylor's proprietary C-CLASS bracing and the arched back wood pursue both tonal breadth and strength while keeping the price point in the 100,000+ yen range—a testament to Taylor's efforts. This is a system where you can order by changing the wood, inlays, colors, and other specifications to your preference from the following series within the Standard Collection.
Available series: 300 Series / 400 Series / 600 Series / 700 Series
(Delivery time is expected to be approximately 6 months from acceptance.)
