The "112ce-N" is Taylor's first nylon-string guitar (elegance model) in GC (Grand Concert) size based on the 100 Series. With a relatively narrow nut width of approximately 47.6mm and a low string action, ease of playability is a major advantage.
It features a solid Spruce top and Sapele wood on the sides and back. Through Taylor's proprietary wood processing technology "Torrefied Process," the top undergoes special heat treatment, achieving rich volume and excellent response reminiscent of a guitar that has been played for many years, despite being brand new.
Sapele wood is increasingly used by various brands as a substitute for mahogany and is also adopted in Taylor's higher-end 300 Series. Its sound character is similar to mahogany, and its soft and composed tone pairs well with Taylor's bright sound character, making it a versatile model.
With a perfect size that scales down the standard Grand Auditorium (GA), it offers easy transportability while maintaining a solid body. Due to its compact size, it has excellent response and can also excel in fingerstyle playing. Additionally, it is equipped with a cutaway, making it suitable for technical playing as well.
It is equipped with the "ES2" pickup system, the same as found on premium models, delivering clear sound both acoustically and through amplification. Since each instrument has unique grain patterns, if you like this distinctive appearance, please try one.
