Ovation N769 Nakao Custom Legend Japan Limited
Ovation was founded in 1966 by Charles Kaman, the president of a helicopter manufacturing company and a renowned guitarist. It is loved by many musicians for its electric acoustic guitars that apply aircraft technology to guitar design.
The model we have in stock is the "N769" from the "Craftman" series, which was custom ordered by Nakao Trading (the distributor) in 1994. It is a Japan-limited model of the "Ovation Custom Legend," a standard model.
The deep bowl cutaway body featuring a 4A-class spruce top enhances playability with its special structure. It features a mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard. This model places great emphasis on decoration, including elaborate abalone inlays on the bridge carving, body trim, and rosette, giving it a gorgeous appearance.
Featuring the "OP24" preamp, it achieves versatile sound making. It produces the wonderful natural sound characteristic of Ovation. This is truly a Craftsman Limited model that can be put to immediate use in live performances and recordings. With string action as low as an electric guitar, it offers exceptional playability.

【Appearance & Condition】Apart from dulling of parts, there are discoloration and deterioration due to aging, cracks in several spots on the neck binding, and other signs of use including scuffs and small dents. There are screw machining marks on the back of the headstock, and a broken screw remains inside. (This does not affect the operation of the tuning pegs in any way) The fretboard has been refretted once.
