Steinberger GL-2T #2616
Description
Steinberger GL-2T #2616
The GL-2T has arrived from the "GL Series," the early guitar lineup of "Steinberger," which created innovative structures such as the "headless design," "graphite neck," and "transposable tremolo unit"! The color is black with serial number 2616, and this appears to be a unit manufactured around 1985. The weight is 3.06kg.
This model features an integrated body and neck structure, offering a compact body size and a transparent, resonant string tone that sets it apart from other electric guitars.
The model name "2" indicates HH configuration EMG pickup specifications. Both pickups are equipped with "EMG-81." Combined with the graphite body, it delivers low-noise and clear tones that are perfect for effects, with an outstanding response.
The model name "T" signifies the top-of-the-line "Trans Trem." The transpose (key shifting function) can be locked at any of 6 positions below, and smooth arming action is completely versatile.
With excellent weight balance based on ergonomic design and high playability, this is a popular model that continues to be loved to this day.
This is truly a super guitar that can produce everything from surprisingly vicious tones unthinkable from its size to beautiful clean sounds. It delivers a clearer sound compared to guitars from other brands using fine wood, with full EMG character and wonderful sound quality. How does this structure and body produce such tones?
While it has a strong visual impact, its ease of use is outstanding, including tuning stability. Recently, Strandberg guitars appear more frequently with similar names and shared features like headless design, but the sound character is completely different. This original Steinberger, which established the headless guitar genre, reigns at the top of the travel electric guitar world, doesn't it?
It's also convenient that the body has a stand-like feature so you can play while sitting. The point of being able to easily take it anywhere, the reduced stress of moving around—you can understand why it remains popular today. A truly valuable model. Overflowing with "Yoru mo Hippare" and "Moto Fuyuki" vibes.
The case is not included; a RITTER soft case is included instead. This actually provides more peace of mind than the original soft case. It's really great to have one as a guitar that's easy to carry anywhere.
