Ibanez Artist AR305 1982
Description
Ibanez Artist AR305 1982
The "AR305" is a solid body model from Ibanez's Artist series that debuted in 1982. It is a popular model that spawned various variations, including the similar "AR300" with a flamed maple top, the "AR105" with dot position markers and omitting the Tri-sound switch, and further, the substantially reissue model "RAR300BM".
This time we received a 1982 model from the first year of manufacture, an "AR305" from the Terada period. Antique Violin (AV) color, weight is 4.21kg.
It features a burl mahogany top with dish curved arch work and binding applied to a double cutaway mahogany body. The neck is a 3-piece maple set neck, and the 22-fret ebony fingerboard with binding is fitted with pearl & abalone block position inlays.
The guitar is equipped with 2 Ibanez Super 58 humbuckers, each with independent volume and tone controls. The bridge features a fixed bridge & tailpiece specification. Additionally, each pickup is equipped with a "Tri-sound" switch, allowing you to switch between three types of sounds: humbucker, single coil, and reverse phase.
This "AR305" was discontinued in 1987, but was reissued in 2007 with Korean manufacturing. It was only produced for a year, sold exclusively in the American market, making it a popular classic model that many people are still looking for.
Ibanez has a strong impression of metal guitars, but the construction of models like this is also stable and reliable. Although it was cheaper back then, you can still buy this for around 200,000 yen, which is a good deal. Our shop has performed fret crowning, so the play condition is excellent. Above all, the appearance that is unique to Japanese vintage is the best!
