Gibson The SG Walnut 1979
Description
Gibson The SG Walnut 1979
The Gibson "SG" is a standard model that is loved by current generation players such as Angus Young and modern slide god Derek Trucks, and is widely recognized as a rock icon.
This time we have received a 1979 "The SG Walnut" in stock. The weight is 3.48kg. It features a tough-looking walnut body & neck and ebony fretboard.
"The SG" has quite a unique specification. The pickups are equipped with "T-top Velvet Brick" stamped pickups from the final period, which are the predecessor to the later "Pattent Applied For" humbucker reissue, with 2 units installed. The back has a "1979" date stamp. The original characteristic is also the unusual color layout with double black on the front and zebra on the rear.
The hardware also has a high-end specification. It features a wide Travel Tune-o-matic bridge ("Wide Travel" "Harmonica Bridge"), and the nickel Grover 102N pegs have triangle buttons. The jack is also a side jack, making for a convenient design.
This guitar has been refretted at our shop, so the playing condition is excellent. Moreover, with the stamped humbuckers and a bridge with strong character, it has outstanding visual impact, an ebony fretboard which is a plus, and is an interesting SG with a sound and appearance that won't overlap with others. Please take this opportunity.
