Gibson Les Paul Standard Tobacco Burst 1977
Description
Gibson Les Paul Standard Tobacco Burst 1977
The Gibson flagship model that carved its place in music history, the iconic electric guitar model "Les Paul Standard," a 1977 model has arrived in stock. Weight is 4.54kg.
It features the classic specifications of maple top & mahogany body, 3-piece maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. The pickups are two humbuckers mounted on the back that appear to be originals with PAT numbers. The back of the headstock has the model name "LES PAUL-STANDARD" above the serial number and an 8-digit serial below it.
The Les Paul serial from this period uses a special specification that was only used for about 3 years, where numbering is applied to pre-printed sheets with the top two digits, making 99 = 1975, 00 = 1976, and 06 = 1977. The pot date is 1976. The headstock is a large headstock, larger in shape than original or current models. The tuning pegs are Kluson Gibson Deluxe stamped type.
The saddle has been modified, the nut has been replaced, the toggle switch knob and bridge have been replaced. While there is evidence of use, the condition is good and it is still very playable. The rosewood fingerboard has a deep color and makes a good impression.
The frets are low, but it doesn't feel particularly difficult to play, and the Tobacco Sunburst color is cool. Due to extensive playing wear, the realistic scratches have created an impressive presence, making this a highly recommended instrument.
