Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Brown Sunburst 1979
Description
Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Sunburst 1979
We have just received a 1979 model of the "Les Paul Deluxe," a representative model of the 1970s that was created by changing the pickups of the Gibson Les Paul Standard re-produced in 1968 to mini humbuckers. The weight is 4.4kg.
It features the classic specs of the era: maple top & mahogany body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. Two Gibson mini humbuckers with "PAT number engravings and hand-written date (1979)" on the back are mounted. The internal wiring and potentiometers are also original 1979 components.
The back of the headstock bears the "MADE IN U.S.A" marking, and the truss rod cover is engraved with "Deluxe." The large headstock characteristic of this era and the volute are both intact. The tuning pegs feature the distinctive "Gibson" logo.
As for the condition, we have performed a complete overhaul and it is in top condition. Specifically, we have done a complete refret and nut replacement, replaced the bridge, tailpiece, saddle, and other components with new ones, and performed binding and inlay repairs. This guitar is now in perfect condition and ready to be played hard like a new instrument. Since the pickups and potentiometers remain original, we have restored it so that players looking to use it immediately will be most pleased.
The deep color of the rosewood fingerboard and the binding color of this era have a strong vintage feel, and the brown burst color has a completely different character from current models. The mini humbuckers' moderate output works well for guitar/vocal chord strokes, and especially when crunched, the sound has a wonderful character that a humbucker Les Paul doesn't have. With an appearance that relicing cannot achieve and no apparent shortcomings, this has become an exceptional instrument.
