The "Historic Collection," affectionately known as "Hisco," is the pinnacle series of Gibson Custom Shop. We have just received the most popular 1959 specification Les Paul "Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul Reissue (LPR-9)." This is a 2005 model with a weight of 4.06kg.

It features spectacular figuring, and with approximately 20 years of age on the most popular 59 Burst finish, this is an exceptional instrument that has developed considerable character. The meticulous hardware and overwhelming aesthetic created by carefully selected wood will elevate any player's enthusiasm.

Featuring high-quality mahogany and rosewood fretboard, the slightly slimmer neck is characteristic of the 59, but it's not overly thin, making it a shape that suits virtually anyone. It produces the thick, core-rich Gibson sound. With an ideal weight of approximately 4kg, the pickups feature humbuckers "Burst Bucker #1 / #2" that faithfully reproduce the PAF.

This 59 model represents Gibson's pinnacle achievement, embodying the history of the Historic Collection. Having played quite a few "LPR-9" models over the years, what's remarkable about this series is the absence of any extreme disappointments. While this may seem natural at this price point, it is truly an instrument worthy of being a lifetime companion, with both sound and appearance to match. The condition is clean, and the figuring is particularly impressive. The neck feels great to play, and while the acoustic sound doesn't leave a particularly distinctive impression, the amplified output is markedly different from regular lineup models. The tone is clean and light, capable of everything from crisp crunch to thick leads with plenty of core, and when blended into a band mix, there's substantial bass impact, making it versatile enough for virtually any genre.

Due to global circumstances, the price of 59 Les Pauls has been rising year by year. Looking at price trends over recent years, there's no indication that prices will decrease in the future, so it might be best to secure one sooner rather than later. 【Appearance & Condition】In addition to tarnishing of parts, there is visible wear including paint cracks and scratches on the body top, scuff marks, and areas of wear. Only the strap pin on the neck side has been replaced with a Schaller locking type in black, while the endpin remains original with one missing.
