Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection 1956 Les Paul Reissue (LPR-6) 2004
Description
Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection 1956 Les Paul Reissue (LPR-6) 2004
An impressive appearance as if it has weathered through countless battles.
The Gibson Custom Shop's popular "Historic Collection" series, affectionately known as "HisColle," has a Les Paul Goldtop in 1956 specifications, the "1956 Les Paul Reissue (LPR-6)" has arrived in stock. This is a 2004 model with a weight of 4.42kg.
This model, which focuses on reproducing the sound of that era, naturally employs classic wood materials, while being meticulously crafted by master craftsmen at the highest level. This is a series where every detail is carefully considered.
The pickups are, of course, "P-90". You can experience a traditional sound that combines warm tone, rich harmonics, the clarity unique to single coils, and the thickness of humbucker sound. Impact marks and scratches are found throughout, creating a sense of presence through a well-used appearance.
The moderately applied weather checking is not a manufactured relic like recent Murphy Labs, but rather a genuine texture from actual use. Corresponding to that, with a vintage-feeling high-quality sound and careful assembly by craftsmen, this is truly the classic, ideal Goldtop among Les Pauls equipped with P-90.
When discussing guitars equipped with P-90, the Les Paul Goldtop is absolutely essential. In Japan, Matsumoto of B'z used it frequently during the "Survive" era, and there's also the image associated with Tetsuya Miwa of Spitz, making this a very popular combination. The tone, which has sweetness and thickness while achieving clear high frequencies, is unique to the HisColle series. The neck also has a reassuring thickness, and the playability is exceptional.
Since the output is slightly lower, it produces wonderful texture in both clean tone and crunch. This popular 2000s HisColle—having this in your room would make you happy.
