Fender Japan ST57 LH OCR Stratocaster (Old Candy Apple Red)
Description
Fender Japan ST57 LH OCR Stratocaster
The popular Fender Japan Stratocaster "ST57 LH" has arrived in stock! The color is OCR, and the weight is 3.27kg.
The "LH" is, as the name suggests, "Left Handed" – a Stratocaster for left-handed players. It features a U-serial number and "Made in Japan" marking, and was manufactured by Dyna Gakki between 2010 and 2012. While maintaining stable quality and excellent cost performance, it realizes contemporary playability that adapts to various styles.
The "ST57" is a model that reproduces a 1957 Stratocaster. According to catalogs from this period, it features a basswood body, maple neck, and maple fingerboard with 21 frets. The controls are simple: 1VOL / 2TONE with a 5-way selector. The rear tone control is not functional. The cute appearance with a white 1-ply pickguard is also a characteristic feature. It's also unusual that the headstock logo does not have "Stratocaster" written on it.
Since this "OCR (Old Candy Apple Red)" color is not commonly adopted in standard models, and left-handed models are outside the catalog, the pickups are unknown. Nothing is written on the back. There is no marking other than "ST57" on the neck pocket either.
Since the "OCR" color was originally only available in the "ST62-US M" model equipped with USA-made pickups, it can be inferred that this is a special specification left-handed model with a limited color. However, in reality, it appears more faded than candy apple, looking like an ordinary sunburst.
Fender Japan is popular overseas too – don't miss this opportunity to get a left-handed model!!
