From the late 1960s through the early 1970s, adventurous guitarists "hot-rodded" the Telecaster by mounting powerful humbucker pickups in the front position, giving rock music a new style and presence.
Inheriting that legend, Fender's Classic Series "Classic Series '72 Telecaster Thinline" has arrived in stock. Manufactured in 2008, weight is 3.2kg.
Faithfully reproducing the original specifications from the early 1970s, featuring distinctive dual "Fender Wide Range Humbucker" humbucker pickups, a large pickguard, and more—all the details of the era are meticulously recreated.
The semi-hollow ash body paired with a U-grip maple neck features a maple fingerboard with 21 frets and a 7.25" radius. Vintage-style 6-saddle bridge and hardtail design are employed. The 3-point neck joint, bullet-style nut truss rod, and F-stamped tuning machines are among the details that make this model popular.
From 1970s rock to contemporary UK alternative rock—this model continues to be loved by a wide range of players.
Though manufactured in Mexico, the sound truly captures the essence of the Telecaster Thinline, and overall it's a very impressive and well-made model. The playing condition is excellent.
