Fender American Vintage '62 Stratocaster RW VWT 1991
Description
Fender American Vintage '62 Stratocaster RW VWT 1991
The "American Vintage" series, the top model in Fender's regular lineup. This series is known for its meticulous reproduction of popular vintage guitar specifications, and continues to be popular with many players today.
This is the "American Vintage Stratocaster," which faithfully reproduces the '62 Stratocaster specifications down to the finest details. It was manufactured in 1991 (neck & pot date both 1991). This model has the manufacturing year printed on the neck pocket, features a V serial, and weighs 3.85kg.
The combination of an alder body, a comfortable C-grip maple neck, and a slab-board rosewood fingerboard mirrors the specifications of an actual 1962 instrument. It has been meticulously crafted to closely match the original. The smooth and versatile feel, along with vintage-style tuning pegs and bridge, demonstrate the attention to detail that makes this series popular. The fact that the pickup selector is 3-way rather than 5-way is also characteristic. Controls include volume, front tone, and center tone. This Stratocaster exhibits the versatility the model is known for, with smooth response and attack from the rosewood fingerboard, delivering an aged vintage sound that lives up to its name and truly meets what players are seeking.
If you actually play it, you will notice a clear difference compared to the latest "American Vintage II" series. The overall appearance, as if lightly relicked with extensive use, looks really cool. The strap pin is a Schaller-type, and the frets are quite worn, indicating this guitar has been played extensively. Refret and nut replacement should be considered. The tone is excellent, and the price reflects this. For those who can perform various maintenance themselves or plan to replace all frets with stainless steel frets, this is one of the finest guitars available.
