A living legend "Marcus Miller (マーカス・ミラー)" supervised, a high-quality active bass brand known to those in the know, "Sire (サイアー)". The guitar lineup also features a series supervised by Larry Carlton, and overall, highly finished and functional models are lined up.
This time, we have received the 4-string model "P7 Alder 4st 2nd Generation" which adopts an alder body and PJ pickup configuration, and while maintaining a PB style, enables a wide range of sound-making. Antique white color, manufactured in 2021, weight is approximately 4.32kg.
It realizes clear, high-quality sound suitable for all genres. This electric bass is packed with Marcus Miller's attention to detail throughout. This second generation has been upgraded compared to the initial model, making it even more user-friendly.
For higher resolution and clearer sound, it features the "Marcus Super-PJ Revolution Set" pickups, which are made with different magnets and coils. The cover features the "Sire × Marcus Miller" logo. Furthermore, it allows switching between active and passive modes, and is equipped with a newly developed 3-band EQ preamp to cover various styles of music!
Playability is enhanced by "ROLLED FRETBOARD EDGES" processing that smoothly finishes the edges of the fingerboard, and by using a satin finish on the neck coating. The fingerboard has been upgraded from rosewood to ebony, which is used in high-end basses. Additionally, the battery compartment cover has been changed from plastic to ash (wood), giving it a more luxurious appearance.
Truly remarkable cost performance! While priced affordably enough for beginners, this brand's selling point is its potential to handle live performances and recording. Given that it bears Marcus's name, it's truly impressive. Recommended as your first bass or as a sub-instrument.
