We have received a Fender Special Run "Squier by FSR Vintage Modified Mustang Bass LPB". The color is Lake Placid Blue, manufactured in 2012, with a weight of 3.56kg. It was purchased new in August 2012.
The "Vintage Modified" is a model where Squier has modernly recreated Fender's Mustang Bass from the mid-1960s. Faithful to the original model, it features a 30-inch short scale and 19-fret configuration, with a limited color finish.
It features a basswood body with a maple neck, maple fingerboard with 19 frets, medium jumbo frets, and a 9.5" radius. The pickups have been updated from the original, featuring Seymour Duncan-designed split single-coil pickups for the Mustang.
On the hardware side, it is equipped with a 3-ply pickguard, chrome-finished tuners, and the bridge distinctive to the Mustang.
Among this series, this color has almost no information available online, and it is likely that it was sold in limited quantities at only some music stores. The Mustang Bass has been favored by many artists including Talking Heads and Go-Betweens for a long time, and it continues to have strong popularity. Please take this opportunity.
