Description
Sakazo Nakade No.3000 1978 (Sakazo Nakade 50th Anniversary Commemorative Model)
Sakazo Nakade, a figure who supported Japan's guitar manufacturing industry and is mentioned alongside Masaru Kohno as a leading name in Japan Vintage guitars. Known for establishing his unique tone called the "Nakade Tone," his sons Teruaki (eldest), Toshihiko (second), and Sachio (third) have also become independent guitar makers as separate brands, taking center stage in Japan's guitar manufacturing world thereafter. Due to the high quality of their instruments, there has been increasing demand from overseas in recent years.
What we have received this time is "No.3000," manufactured in 1978. This is an anniversary model made to commemorate Sakazo Nakade's 50th year, with a notation to this effect on the label. A special instrument assembled with carefully selected materials.
Features the finest Brazilian rosewood and German spruce, now difficult to obtain, with a cedar neck. Nut width is 52.5mm, scale is 652mm.
In his craftsmanship, Nakade researched and analyzed world-renowned instruments such as Hauser and Ramirez, incorporating them into his own work. This piece ranks among the top of his creations—truly magnificent. It features an elegant rosette marquetry and original cashew finish.
The neck has no truss rod and shows a slight forward bow. The action is high, but the transparent tone quality remains intact. A guitar that showcases the skill of a master craftsman—a must for Nakade fans.
