Nakade Sakazo No.5000 1975
Description
Sakazo Nakade No.5000 1975
Sakazo Nakade, a figure who supported Japan's guitar manufacturing industry and is recognized alongside Masaru Kohno as a leading representative of Japan vintage guitars. Known for establishing his own unique tone quality called the "Nakade Tone," his sons Teruaki Nakade (eldest), Toshihiko Nakade (second son), and Yukio Nakade (third son) have all become guitar makers themselves, each establishing independent brands that have since become central figures in Japan's guitar manufacturing industry. Due to the high quality of their instruments, demand from overseas has been increasing in recent years.
This time we have received "No.5000," manufactured in 1975. This is a custom order piece made individually, and the label includes the name of the previous owner, model name, and year of manufacture.
The nut width is 51mm and the scale is 652mm. Since there is no specification sheet or detailed information available, we cannot confirm the exact specifications with certainty, but judging from the appearance, it appears that Jacaranda has been used, suggesting it is quite a high-grade instrument.
In his craftsmanship, Nakade studied and analyzed masterpieces from overseas such as Hauser and Ramirez, applying them to his own work. Among Nakade's creations, this one is among the top tier in terms of grain pattern—truly magnificent.
The charm lies in its transparent tone quality, with a texture befitting a custom high-end instrument. While the string height at the 12th fret is on the higher side, the string height on the 1st fret side is low, which may make it quite easy to play for those who primarily play in lower positions. The neck is generally straight with no particular issues.
A piece that showcases the skill of a master craftsman. A must-have for Nakade fans.
