Description

The Martin D-28, the most famous model from Martin, the representative of acoustic guitars. This time, we have received the "Martin D-28 1935 Sunburst" in sunburst color, following the 1935 specifications. This is a 2013 model.

This model is deeply rooted in the tradition of the great pre-war models in both sound and appearance. It combines the classic Martin dreadnought tone with an elegant sunburst finish based on the historic 1935 model, realizing traditional appearance and tonal qualities.

The all-solid construction with Sitka spruce top and rosewood back & sides is the very sound that made D-28 famous worldwide. It delivers rich bass, mid-range with sustain, and clear treble. The sound is powerful, well-balanced, and ideal for both dynamic chord strokes and delicate nuanced fingerpicking.

The "D-28" has slight specification variations depending on the year, and major specification changes were made from the 2017 model onward, but the basic structure remains nearly the same as when it was first introduced. This period features Grover tuning pegs. The D-28 sound, created using the finest woods and the latest technology combined with skilled craftsmanship, is exceptional.

This model is equipped with a piezo pickup, with a mini jack terminal at the endpin section. When used together with the included Amphenol shielded cable, it can also be used as an electro-acoustic guitar.

The string action is standard to slightly low, making it easy to play with outstanding sound. This is a high-quality instrument capable of flexibly adapting to all genres. When I played it, it turned out to be quite an excellent guitar, and this sunburst finish is also rare. Please take this opportunity.
