Description
Gibson J-200 VS 1990
Gibson's "J-200" is a guitar that has been affectionately known as the "King of Flatops," originally manufactured by Gibson in 1937 under the name "SJ-200." It is Gibson's top-of-the-line model. SJ is short for "Super Jumbo."
This time we have a 1990 J-200 in stock! The color is Vintage Sunburst.
A model that has been beloved by many artists including Elvis Presley, Emmylou Harris, and Erwin Blake. Featuring a spruce top with maple sides and back, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, this guitar is characterized by the high volume, rich overtones, and clear attack that are distinctive to super jumbo size. This one features a 642mm scale.
With its luxurious mustache bridge and crown inlay, this guitar combines three essential qualities: "elegance," "powerful tone," and "high-end ornamentation," making it a landmark model in acoustic guitar history.
